Mauritius

Mauritius is a beautiful island in the Indian Ocean, from the beautiful white beaches to the amazing agriculture. To the local Mauritian Creole the island is known as "Moris" and to the French as "Maurice". Mauritius is part of a group of islands known as Mascarene Island, the other island are Reunion which is 200KM Southwest and Rodrigues which is 570KM Northeast. Mauritius was home to the now extinct Dodo. It was not long after settlers came until the Dodo became extinct, around 8 years. The three main spoken languages in Mauritius are English, French and Mauritian Creole. The capital is Port Louis, this is where the harbor is situated.
